We’ve watched the 1995 documentary on the life of the original “supermodels” – Naomi Campbell, Chisty Turlington, Linda Evangelista, and Cindy Crawford – yet there is a new one coming up on Apple TV Plus and this is what recently they themselves announced on Instagram. The documentary series from Brian Grazer and Ron Howard’s Imagine Documentaries will be directed by Academy Award winner Barbara Kopple. Narrowing down on the protagonists of the 90s supermodel scene, it will definitely be equally exciting if not even more. It starts with the 80s and continues well into their heyday in NYC in the legendary 90s. It’s a recurring trend especially in NYC where grunge and glam are often interwoven in the most creative way on the streets. For those attending the NY Fashion Week, this love affair with 90s New York is ongoing. The off-duty model looks, edgy downtown girls, and aspiring fashionistas, as well as the designers, are eternally tapping into the magic universe of the supermodels, so we are all beyond thrilled to watch the story being told by all four girls! The team includes also Sara Bernstein and Justin Wilkes as executive producers.
