The FW22 Lookbook Nicole Miller presented during the NYFW revisits back-to-school fashion in a subversive mode, calling to question what is proper or cute, making it look unconventional and avant-garde. This season’s theme, “moody memories and math equations”, combines school aesthetic elements and city chic sensibility: schoolgirl dresses, pleated mini skirts, bell-bottoms, fitted vests, corset tops, tailored blazers, and oversized jackets styled with opaque knee-high socks and chunky, studded platforms.
Quintessentially goth and rock, the collection palette is dark, filled with graffiti prints, pinstripe, lace, and tartan plaid.
Upcycled flannel shirts were made into a bustier, mini dresses, and gowns, with fitted tops and wide-leg trousers to round out the retro, nostalgia-inducing collection.
Black & yellow checks, patchwork elements, and winter layering, along with some bejeweled coats will spice up your day-to-evening looks.
It’s a “bad girl” attitude, yet with many beautiful accents that are of classic appeal. It includes some young & fresh, gorgeous party-time stunners!
