Dressing up for the Fashion Week is always lots of fun, and that’s what fashion should be. Picking up the outfits for each of the New York Fashion Week days is a whole process of buying new stuff and probably combining with existing favorites in my wardrobe. There are certain designers of which I’m a huge fan and others that I’m compelled to discover. It’s something I’m doing continuously in my life, meaning collecting outrageous pieces as well as basics which someday will be useful and relevant to a certain occasion. Shopping, for me, is an artistic endeavor or else another way to enhance my creativity. Having many options in front of me is quite helpful in inventing combinations, and finally reinventing myself. This season I boosted my mood for color combining bold shades with metallics and playing a little bit with motifs. Among other designer pieces, you’ll see pieces from my own collection such as my super-wearable peplum tops. Some of the people even asked me about those items, and I proudly was telling them that I designed them myself!
In the same pace, I fell in love with Alexander McQueen’s honeycomb motif, Marc Jacobs’ silver wedge sneakers and lace-in-pvc bag, Clover Canyon’s crazy prints, as well as with sequins in general. I needed some sparkle in my life and NYC is definitely the best place to unleash my sparkling energy. I experimented with under-the-knee skirts, new techie fabrics, Japanese designers, Danish designers, and tapered pants! I enjoyed it very much, both wearing all these super young pieces as well as receiving great feedback from photographers and fellow bloggers. Edgy pieces are conversation-starters and these gave me the opportunity to have some of the most wonderful chats around fashion. It’s a different cosmos, this one I feel comfortable and fit in. MB Fashion Week in NYC gives me exciting moments of self-transformation and becoming part of a crowd who dares, challenges, goes on step-further from what is already set. If you see me smile in these pictures, this is the smile of a girl who can’t find greatest pleasure than that! Being among people with so much positive energy and creativity, for me, that’s the definition of joy!
