The initial inspiration for the collection created for this season’s NYFW is not obvious, yet it is very interesting to hear it from the designer’s perspective:
As we enter a new space age, Christian Juul Nielsen turned to the images of the original NASA astronauts and their wives for the inspiration of his upcoming SS22 collection for AKNVAS. While women are thankfully no longer waiting at home for their husbands to return, Nielsen created a pastel world of separates, dresses, knitwear, and outerwear that is perfect for any adventure whether it be downtown for dinner or an upstate getaway.
