Rag & Bone FW20: Envisioning the Future

Although Marcus Wainwright is admittedly more concerned lately with the environment than fashion and trends, the Fall/Winter 2020 collection he presented at 300 Vessey Street was a great mix of ideas, wearable pieces that speak of slow fashion rather than the type of fashion that runs everything in your closet obsolete, and ends up in landfills soon. A characteristically neutral palette and designs that serve functionality will occupy your closet for many seasons and years. Digital projections and imagery were the key to another spectacular show, this time a note to a future that is promising only if we all take action and care for the planet. The serpent-shaped image and commentary was visually strong and appealing, quite relevant of the times we are living. Accompanied with epic music, the lineup showcased among other wearable items, great pieces of outerwear.
