Nicholas K Opens Store in Soho

Entering into a direct to consumer model, Nicholas K is opening its first brick and mortar store in NYC for Fall 2018, starting as a 2-month pop -up which lays the groundwork for a more permanent venture. Showcasing the drapey, modern urban-nomad staples they are known for, the brand will also offer exclusive styles as well as a capsule collection of their coveted menswear.

White washed floors and towering plants create the feeling of an eco preserve, with white parachutes cascading from the ceilings. Nicholas K fuses conscious sustainability with utilitarian roots to design a store that feels modern, ethereal, and minimal.

“We wanted to have a canvas to share our vision, meet our clients and educate them about the versatility of each design and the fibers we use,” said Nicholas Kunz.

The store launched officially August 15th with an opening party featuring the “Holy Mountain Peru” FW18 collection, making the shop a destination for beautiful soft alpaca sweaters, tencel knits, vegetable-dyed leather jackets trimmed with shearling, sandwashed flowy silk dresses and tops, black denim, and classic poplin shirting and dresses with corset detailing.

Prices range from $280 for the wrap crop shirt in cotton flannel to $1600 for the vegetable dyed leather tanner jacket in burnt sienna with shearling collar and cuffs.

The Nicholas K store will be open seven days a week in August and September at 435 Broome Street, with continuing dates to be announced.

Hours:
Monday – Saturday 11-7
Sunday 12-6

Continuing their partnership with the trade commission of Peru in New York, the store opening featured Tacama Pisco Chilcanos, Cusquena beer, and Peruvian bites from Surfish bistro.
