It was a moving fashion event dominated by the fulfillment of little Despoina’s wish to walk on the runway of a fashion show, granted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Many models wearing New Designers creations walked with her, competing for one of the three AXDW Awards: Best Catwalk, Best Trendsetter and Best New Designer. Actress and TV persona Katerina Zarifi presented the awards with her own humoristic flair, while Tonia Fouseki, who organizes AXDW, expressed her gratitude to all those participating and supporting this effort. The contestants: nadia Rapti & Teknio kerasioti, Vasia Kont, CorBo, Agaliou Kostantinou, Empire, Nikomia, jeAnS and Konstantinos Mitrovgenis presented their avant-garde, imaginative looks on a single catwalk, embracing at the same time the magical moment of Despoina, who was wearing a gorgeous, sur mesure red gown by the famous London-based Greek designer Sophia Kokosalaki. The awards went to: jeAnS (Best Catwalk), CorBo (Best Trensetter by MTV), and Empire (Best New Designer). We hope that these awards will be just the beginning of long and successful careers in the fashion industry for these designers, both in Greece and abroad!
