Lineapelle Interiors (Feb. 25-27, 2025): Where Italian Leather Meets Interior Design Innovation

Returning for its second edition, LINEAPELLE INTERIORS is redefining the role of Italian leather in contemporary interior design. Taking place from February 25 to 27, 2025, at Fiera Milano Rho, this visionary exhibition project serves as a bridge between the craftsmanship of the leather industry and the evolving landscape of architecture and interior aesthetics.

With 37 leading companies and 19 groundbreaking installations, the event explores how leather and innovative materials can be integrated into living spaces, offering new design perspectives through collaborations between top Italian manufacturers and internationally renowned designers.

The exhibition, spread across 1,000 square meters in Pavilion 24, presents an immersive experience where floors, walls, furniture, decorative panels, and modular structures become canvases for showcasing the endless possibilities of Made in Italy leather craftsmanship. According to Gianni Russo, President of Lineapelle, this initiative embodies a “model of Design Economy”, highlighting the economic and creative value of Italian leather within the global interior design industry.

At the heart of the project is the material itself. Italian leather, known for its durability, elegance, and versatility, is transformed into a medium for innovation, bringing together tradition and modernity. Fulvia Bacchi, CEO of Lineapelle and General Director of UNIC – Concerie Italiane, emphasizes that the tactile beauty of leather allows architects and designers to create environments that are both visually striking and sensorially rich. Through a dialogue between solid structures and soft finishes, this year’s installations highlight the exceptional adaptability of leather across various applications.

The exhibition is defined by exclusive collaborations, with some of the most respected leather manufacturers and designers coming together to push creative boundaries. Among them, vegetable-tanned leather flooring by Oscarmaschera and Conceria Lo Stivale presents a striking balance between sustainability and craftsmanship. At the same time, full Alcantara-covered walls by Savio Interiors showcase the material’s luxurious depth. A children’s bedroom by Notte Fatata and Vincenza Pelli adds a playful and cozy element to the showcase, while an elegant washbasin designed by Antonio Lupi Design and Certaldese Leather demonstrates how leather can merge seamlessly with architectural structures.

Exploring the intricate relationship between textures and finishes, the event presents installations that range from horn-inlaid decorative panels by Arcahorn and Industria Conciaria Arzignanese, bringing organic sophistication to interior spaces, to metallic-finished leather walls by Mistral Creative Vision and De Castelli, introducing reflective elements that create dynamic atmospheres. Sculptural expressions also take center stage, with Guerrino Dirindin and Conceria Presot crafting intricate leather installations, while Ludovica Mascheroni and Conceria Bretagna present a contemporary leather screen designed to redefine space division.

Material innovation is a key theme throughout the event. A fully modular leather system by Mobi and Conceria Cristina reinterprets adaptability in interiors, while Poltronova’s iconic seat, reimagined with hair-on leather from Conceria Tris, offers a fusion of historical design with contemporary materials. Artistic influences are evident in a tonal furniture collection by Oxilla and Manifattura di Domodossola, inspired by 15th-century paintings, and in a luxurious leather blanket by TM Service and Conceria Dani, which highlights the comfort of leather textiles. A refined wool-and-leather carpet series by Tisca Italia and Conceria Priante adds warmth to the exhibition’s aesthetic landscape, while a leather wall with an integrated door by Barausse and Conceria Leonica redefines the concept of structural design.

The intersection of art and function continues with a sculptural sofa and screen by Dema and Faeda, reinterpreting seating with artisanal excellence, and a mobile leather-covered wall by Dooor and Limonta, demonstrating the balance between innovation and elegance. A grand marble-and-leather table by Fuda and Materica brings together two of the most luxurious materials in a harmonious contrast of textures, while Raether and Foglizzo Leather introduce a revolutionary material crafted from recycled leather scraps, setting a new standard for sustainability in high-end design.

According to Maurizio Molini, Creative Director of Lineapelle Interiors, this initiative transforms Made in Italy semi-finished products into works of art, amplifying their global appeal. More than an exhibition, LINEAPELLE INTERIORS 2025 is a statement on the evolving role of leather in interior design, demonstrating how heritage techniques and material innovation can redefine contemporary living spaces. By presenting groundbreaking applications in flooring, wall coverings, furniture, and modular structures, this event highlights the limitless potential of leather as an essential component in shaping the interiors of the future.
