Vivetta FW26 Blurs Fantasy and Reality in a Theatrical Gothic Ball

In a season shaped by introspection and theatrical allure, Vivetta presented its Fall/Winter 2026 collection as an imagined masquerade suspended between reality and reverie. The runway unfolded like a secretive ball, where identity blurred into illusion and refinement carried a subtle undercurrent of tension.

Echoes of legendary society gatherings lingered in the atmosphere, reinterpreted through a surrealist lens that felt both cerebral and deeply emotional. Rather than revisiting the past, the collection explored duality with precision—romance intertwined with unease, structure softened by moments of play.

Silhouettes moved between control and fantasy. Tailoring referenced a distinctly British sensibility, with sharp constructions and argyle patterns elevated through intricate embroidery.

These composed forms gradually opened into unexpected volumes, where drapery, bows, and sculptural gestures emerged as if from a dreamscape.

The house’s signature motifs evolved into striking visual narratives. Stylized face profiles appeared across garments, transforming into embroidered jackets, boleros, and a sculptural felt dress where faces unfolded in three-dimensional form around the body. The imagery evoked a sense of fleeting identity, as if figures were shifting just beyond reach.

The swan, a symbol of grace and transformation, became a recurring presence. It appeared in rich, dimensional embroideries across gloves, masks, and shoes, culminating in a dramatic closing look defined by an exaggerated bow and sweeping train.

Material contrasts heightened the tension throughout the collection, as structured wool met airy organza, kinetic pleats, and crisp nylon taffeta. Diaphanous slip dresses were interrupted by fur-effect inserts, suggesting a dialogue between delicacy and instinct.

Surrealism shaped the narrative at every level. Objects were reimagined with poetic intention: eighteenth-century silverware inspired prints and jewelry, while swan-shaped vessels and intertwined cutlery took on new life as accessories.

The motif of the egg emerged as a quiet symbol of metamorphosis, subtly shifting into human form. Even folded elements carried meaning, transforming into rosettes on garments and later into metallic brooches and jewel-like mini bags.

This season also introduced Vivetta’s menswear on the runway, offering a complementary yet slightly disruptive energy. The silhouettes balanced romanticism with a sharper edge, moving between tailoring and sport.

Oversized volumes contrasted with leaner lines, while garments played with perception—what appeared to be casual revealed a more intricate construction. Surrealist details were more restrained, offering glimpses of hidden imagery that felt intimate and elusive.

Vivetta’s Fall/Winter 2026 collection created a universe where garments become vessels of transformation, inviting the viewer to linger between what is seen and what is imagined.
