Provocative styling, traditional forms, ethnic patterns and edgy details are enough to indicate a very interesting Fall/Winter 2011/12 Collection, presented at the Athens Fashion Week. Modern elements and colors combined with tribal and folk motifs drawn from the everyday life of Greek monks, Asian nomads and other cultures, made us appreciate the plurality of stimuli different environments can offer to fashion, just as such factors can affect art in general. Apergis was a nice surprise to us, especially his collection of bags and vests, his ethnic style long skirts and coats and his embroidery in various wearable but impressive pieces. His palette included many nudes mixed up with warm hues and more āfreshā ones such as girly pink, yellow and electric blue.
