I’m often looking for great knits which can mix and match with my incredible skirts and pants, in an unusual and charming way. I love interesting motifs which can combine retro mood with avant-garde technique. Currently I’m crazy about these floral knits from Karen Walker, especially the one in lime which will hit stores in couple of days.
It’s the Bleeding Rose Sweater which encloses some short of an irony since we know that roses cause bleeding when touched carelessly but they cannot bleed themselves. I would preferably call them the ‘melting roses’ since they look like a melting freshly-painted motif!
Their white background is sufficient for endless combinations, while their simple style transforms them into a design passe-partout! Karen Walker is a very talented designer from New Zealand – a regular at the New York Fashion Week schedule – and an avid proponent of effortless chic and cool basics!
