For Spring/Summer 2014 Rachel Zoe created a collection inspired by safari vacations and instilled with Yves Saint Laurent-esque allure! She’s influenced by the great masters of Parisian chic but she also knows that she designs mainly for American or cosmopolitan busy women who love to be practical and look put-together all day long. This collection featured some amazing safari jackets, wonderful maxi caftans that can be worn from the beach to the cocktail party, classy loose pants, hot sexy shorts, and impressive mini dresses with great detailing.
She’s popular because her clothes are approachable, wearable yet eye-catching! I liked the zebra print, the cool neutrals, the sweet pastels, and even the sparkly or shimmering fabrics! There was a sportive, laid-back element – very appropriate for summertime – as well as great variety of styles to choose from. She brings about an element of eternal youth and playfulness but at the same time emphasizes femininity through the silhouettes and the ultra chic color palette! I think that she did a great job again!
