At WHITE Milano, the Italian design label brought its Clash of Cultures philosophy into focus through the symbolism of the rainbow, the evocative photography of Alex Majoli, and a compelling vision of contemporary luxury.
In a fashion landscape increasingly shaped by conversations around identity, authenticity, and cultural exchange, HIDN-ANDER approaches design with a distinct creative sensibility. During Milan Fashion Week, from September 24 to 27, 2026, the Italian brand presented STARLESS Rainbow at WHITE Milano, introducing an installation where fashion, photography, and contemporary culture converged in an exploration of individuality and collective expression.
At the center of the presentation was an idea that has shaped HIDN-ANDER since its inception: Clash of Cultures. Conceived as a creative dialogue between seemingly disparate influences, the philosophy embraces the intersections of generations, identities, cultural traditions, and visual languages. These encounters form the foundation of a design vocabulary grounded in authenticity, thoughtful construction, and the freedom to reinterpret familiar codes. With STARLESS Rainbow, that philosophy found an especially resonant visual expression.
A Rainbow of Identities
Few symbols communicate the possibility of coexistence as immediately as the rainbow. Its colors remain individually recognizable while forming a harmonious whole, offering a poetic reflection on the relationships between people, cultures, and identities.
For HIDN-ANDER, the rainbow carries associations with peace, openness, and the richness of human experience. Within STARLESS Rainbow, it becomes a visual language through which the brand examines the fluid relationships between gender, heritage, age, and personal expression.
The concept embraces a compelling proposition: individuality and unity can exist simultaneously, each enriching the other.
This sensibility reflects the brand’s wider design philosophy. Rather than treating cultural influences as fixed categories, HIDN-ANDER approaches them as living references, capable of evolving through unexpected encounters. Elements drawn from sportswear, workwear, and functional clothing are reconsidered through contemporary proportions, refined detailing, and a minimalist aesthetic.
Alex Majoli and the Poetry of Human Connection
Photography played a central role in the presentation, with a selection of images from the archive of acclaimed Italian photographer Alex Majoli accompanying the STARLESS Rainbow project.
Known for his powerful visual narratives and his exploration of the human condition, Majoli brings an arresting perspective to the themes at the heart of HIDN-ANDER’s creative universe.
His photographs examine the spaces where different lives intersect. Across cultures, generations, social environments, and personal histories, the images reveal the subtle gestures and shared experiences that connect individuals beyond conventional definitions.
Within the installation, photography became an extension of the brand’s visual identity. Majoli’s work invited viewers to consider the complexity of human relationships, allowing expressions, atmospheres, and moments of encounter to communicate ideas that resist simple categorization.
The collaboration between fashion and photography gave the presentation a contemplative quality. The images encouraged a deeper engagement with the people, stories, and cultural references that inform the world around us.
It was a fitting expression of HIDN-ANDER’s guiding phrase, “For Truth, Look Deeper,” an invitation to discover meaning beneath appearances and to approach identity with curiosity rather than assumption.
The Evolution Of Contemporary Italian Luxury
Founded in 2019 by creative director Alessandro Viganò, HIDN-ANDER has developed an identity rooted in the intersection of design research, cultural observation, and Italian manufacturing expertise.
Its creative direction draws inspiration from the practical archetypes of everyday clothing, particularly sportswear, workwear, and functional garments. Through careful reinterpretation, these references inform products characterized by clean lines, considered construction, and an emphasis on longevity.
Every HIDN-ANDER product is designed and manufactured in Italy, reflecting the brand’s commitment to craftsmanship and the knowledge embedded within the country’s specialized production networks.
Material quality, precision, and durability are essential elements of this philosophy. The brand’s understanding of luxury places particular importance on the relationship between an object’s design, its purpose, and the expertise required to produce it.
That vision has entered a new chapter with HIDN-ANDER becoming part of Giano, the Italian company established in 1946 in the Marche region, an area celebrated for its footwear manufacturing heritage.
Led by Enrico Paniccià, the third generation of the founding family, Giano brings decades of experience in artisanal production, research, development, and premium footwear manufacturing.
The relationship creates opportunities for HIDN-ANDER’s continued development while preserving the creative principles established by Viganò. It also reinforces the connection between experimental design and the manufacturing traditions that remain integral to Italy’s fashion identity.
Where Fashion Meets Contemporary Culture
HIDN-ANDER’s participation in WHITE Milano positioned STARLESS Rainbow within a setting dedicated to contemporary fashion and emerging creative perspectives.
The presentation, held September 24–27 during Milan Fashion Week, brought together the brand’s design philosophy and Majoli’s photographic storytelling in a shared exploration of cultural identity.
Through the interplay of product, imagery, and symbolism, the installation invited audiences to reconsider how fashion communicates ideas about belonging.
The Clash of Cultures philosophy gives this exploration particular relevance. Cultural identities are constantly shaped by movement, exchange, memory, and reinvention. HIDN-ANDER translates those dynamics into a creative process that welcomes different influences while respecting their individual character.
STARLESS Rainbow gave that process a recognizable emblem, allowing color to express the coexistence of multiple perspectives.
There is an understated elegance in this approach. Its emotional resonance emerges from a simple observation: the richness of collective identity depends upon the individuality of its constituent parts.
A Creative Vision Beyond the Collection
As HIDN-ANDER continues its development under the Giano group, its creative direction remains anchored in a broader understanding of design as a cultural practice.
The brand’s engagement with photography, social narratives, and diverse aesthetic traditions reflects an ambition to create objects that carry meaning beyond their immediate function.
STARLESS Rainbow offered a particularly vivid expression of that ambition. Through its symbolic use of color and its dialogue with Alex Majoli’s photographs, the project brought questions of identity, connection, and coexistence into the world of contemporary Italian fashion.
For Alessandro Viganò and HIDN-ANDER, the future of design emerges through the meeting of different perspectives, the preservation of individual voices, and the craftsmanship that gives creative ideas lasting form.
