At the heart of Mostro Nostro lies a meticulous engraving technique, where images are revealed through subtraction, layer by layer. Fabscarte’s artisans, guided by founders Luigi Scarabelli and Emilio Brazzolotto, developed the motif on paper rolls using a gel-based composition that produces a translucent, fluid texture.
When translated into fabric, this technique evokes the sense of liquid depth and fragmented light, making the material appear alive, rippling with quiet energy.
For deepmoss, led by designer Dido Liu, the collaboration embodies a dialogue between stillness and strength. The brand’s FW25 capsule collection interprets Mostro Nostro through silhouettes inspired by the Far East—rounded shoulders, supple structures, and spiral cuts that trace the body’s natural lines.
