In fashion, time is often measured by seasons. For Fall–Winter 2026–27, ANTEPRIMA slows that rhythm, inviting reflection on the quiet passage of time and the delicate traces it leaves behind. The new collection unfolds as a meditation on transformation, memory, and the fleeting nature of beauty, presented through a thoughtful collaboration with Japanese contemporary artist Aiko Miyanaga.

Founded in Milan in 1993 by creative director Izumi Ogino, ANTEPRIMA has long cultivated a refined aesthetic built on understated silhouettes, tactile textiles, and a cross-cultural dialogue between Italy and Japan.

The Fall–Winter 2026–27 collection continues this tradition by merging fashion with contemporary art, creating garments that feel both contemplative and quietly expressive.

At the heart of the collection is the influence of Kyoto-born artist Aiko Miyanaga, whose work is celebrated for visualizing the invisible forces of time. Through installations made from materials such as salt, glass, and naphthalene, Miyanaga creates objects that slowly dissolve or transform, leaving behind subtle evidence of their existence. Her practice captures the fragile moment before disappearance, where presence and absence coexist.

ANTEPRIMA translates this philosophy into the language of clothing. The collection balances warmth and transparency, structure and lightness, allowing garments to move with a quiet fluidity.

Cashmere, one of the house’s signature materials, emerges as a central element. Soft, enveloping, and seasonless, it becomes a tactile expression of memory—an intimate fabric designed to hold warmth while maintaining an effortless sense of ease.

Silhouettes are pared down yet dynamic, designed to feel grounded in the present while hinting at the passage of time. Texture plays a pivotal role. Imperfect surfaces, layered transparencies, and intricate techniques such as devoré, needle punch, and reversible jacquards create garments that reveal new dimensions with every movement. These tactile details evoke the idea that beauty often lies in subtle shifts and quiet evolution.

Prints throughout the collection carry symbolic resonance. Keys, clocks, butterflies, and everyday objects appear as delicate impressions, their outlines intentionally blurred. Rather than functioning as decorative motifs, they resemble fragments of memory—fleeting images that linger like echoes of moments already passed.

Color unfolds in two expressive chapters. The first draws inspiration from natural landscapes, offering a palette of warm neutrals, moss greens, and muted pinks reminiscent of windswept heathlands.

The second chapter explores deeper mineral tones—grey, peacock blue, and crystalline white—reflecting the dissolving materials and luminous surfaces that define Miyanaga’s artistic practice.

Together, these elements form a collection that feels both meditative and modern. Fashion becomes a canvas for contemplating change, revealing that transformation itself can be a form of luxury. The garments invite wearers to appreciate the subtle poetry of time, embracing garments that evolve with the rhythms of life.
