Anne Macchiatto FW26: The Imprint Collection Leaves its Elegant Mark on Milan Fashion Week

At Milan Fashion Week, where fashion’s most compelling narratives unfold season after season, Anne Macchiatto introduced a collection that captures the quiet power and enduring presence of the contemporary woman. The Fall/Winter 2026 collection, titled Imprint, explores the idea of identity shaped through experience, translating emotion, craftsmanship, and innovation into a refined couture language.

At the helm of the brand is Ma Liang, president of Anne Macchiatto and a textile engineer whose creative approach merges technical mastery with visionary design thinking. A graduate of Dalian Polytechnic University, Liang built his career around the transformation of garment production technologies, developing advanced machinery that integrates innovation with the precision of traditional craftsmanship. His work has led to groundbreaking methods including laser stitching on delicate materials such as silk and cashmere, as well as systems that reduce waste and elevate both safety and efficiency in garment creation.

This intersection of technology and artistry defines the spirit of Anne Macchiatto. The brand’s name, inspired by Liang’s daughter and symbolizing a “sign of happiness,” reflects a deeply personal philosophy that places emotion at the center of design. Each piece is created with the intention of capturing moments that resonate beyond the runway, celebrating femininity through elegance, confidence, and expressive detail.

Presented within the framework of the international CHINA SELECT initiative, the collection also highlights the growing global dialogue between cultures within fashion. Founded in 2023 by the China Fashion Designers Association, the project offers a platform for designers to share a multidimensional perspective on Chinese creativity, craftsmanship, and aesthetic values with the international fashion community. Milan becomes the stage where this exchange unfolds, blending cultural influences through contemporary design.

The Imprint collection unfolds as a poetic reflection on the emotional traces women leave throughout their lives. Stitching transforms into a symbolic gesture, echoing the marks of personal growth, passion, and determination. Each garment appears almost sculpted, shaped by movement and intention.

Silhouettes reveal a harmonious balance between strength and fluidity. Structured shoulders introduce architectural precision, while layered skirts create soft movement with every step. The interplay between structure and lightness gives the collection its distinctive rhythm, allowing each look to feel both powerful and graceful.

Luxurious materials deepen this narrative. Satin, tulle, lace, wool, and silk are layered and combined to create rich textures that shift between shadow and luminosity. These fabrics envelop the body with a sense of warmth while maintaining an airy sophistication that enhances the collection’s sculptural forms.

Color becomes a subtle yet expressive storyteller throughout the collection. Deep green, champagne gold, smoky black, and warm brown establish a refined foundation, while accents of diamond silver, powder pink, and icy blue introduce flashes of brilliance that illuminate the silhouettes.

The artistry of the collection emerges most vividly in its handcrafted details. Intricate embroidery, three-dimensional beading, sculpted pleats, and fluid fringes lend movement and dimension to each piece, creating garments that feel both contemporary and timeless.

The final look of the show offered a powerful closing statement. Crafted over more than 2,100 hours, the garment merges Milanese heritage with Eastern artistic sensibilities through elaborate embroidery and natural pearls that recreate the historic Visconti emblem. The result is a remarkable symbol of cultural dialogue, honoring Milan while reflecting the global vision at the heart of Anne Macchiatto.

With Imprint, the brand delivers a collection that celebrates individuality and strength while maintaining an atmosphere of refined elegance. The designs invite women to embrace their own stories and leave their personal mark on the world through style, presence, and confidence.

Available beginning in May 2026 through Anne Macchiatto boutiques, selected department stores, and online platforms, the collection marks an exciting chapter for the brand as it continues to expand its international presence.
