A Study in Lightness: Eleventy Blurs the Lines between Fashion and Design

During the highly anticipated Milan Design Week 2026, Eleventy will host an immersive experience that captures the essence of its aesthetic philosophy through a refined interplay of fashion, design, and storytelling. Set for April 23 inside its boutique on Via della Spiga in Milan, the event unfolds as a sensorial narrative rooted in identity, heritage, and contemporary vision.

At the heart of the experience lies a delicate yet powerful symbol: the butterfly. Long embedded in the brand’s visual language as its original logo, the motif reemerges here as a poetic emblem of transformation, lightness, and continuity. This symbolic thread guides the entire concept, bridging past and present while offering a lens through which Eleventy’s values are expressed with clarity and elegance.

The narrative takes tangible form through a collaboration with True, presenting a striking reinterpretation of the “Farfalla” chair. Originally conceived in 1974 by designers Roberto Lucci and Paolo Orlandini, the iconic seating piece has been reimagined by Folco Orlandini with a contemporary sensibility. Displayed in the boutique window throughout April, the chair embodies a refined evolution of its original form.

With its sculptural silhouette and softly padded structure, the updated Farfalla captures a sense of movement reminiscent of wings in mid-flight. Each piece stands independently, yet when placed in composition, it creates a fluid and organic arrangement that feels both natural and intentional. The design honors its origins while embracing a sleeker, more defined structure, achieving a harmonious balance between memory and innovation.

This dialogue between eras reflects Eleventy’s broader design language, where craftsmanship meets modernity with effortless precision. The installation becomes more than a visual display; it is an exploration of identity told through texture, form, and space.

Enhancing the atmosphere, the event will feature an elevated culinary experience curated by Andrea Berton, whose refined approach to gastronomy mirrors the brand’s commitment to excellence and detail. The result is a multi-sensory encounter that invites guests into a world where fashion, design, and taste converge seamlessly.
