In the glittering world of high jewellery, a new star has ascended. Sahag Arslanian, the founder and creative director of his eponymous brand, has been awarded The Best New Talent Prize at the inaugural Grand Prix de la Haute Joaillerie in Monte-Carlo. Held at the legendary Sporting Monte-Carlo, the event marked a new chapter in the celebration of excellence, craftsmanship, and contemporary artistry in fine jewelry.

For Arslanian, this accolade is both a recognition and a promise. “We just launched our brand, and my wish is to bring my contribution to the high jewelry world with a fresh and contemporary approach,” he shared following the ceremony. His words reflect not only humility but a vision that merges innovation with an enduring respect for tradition — an ethos that has quickly distinguished him in the rarefied realm of haute joaillerie.

The Grand Prix de la Haute Joaillerie, co-founded by Stéphane Valeri, Deputy Chairman of the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, and Jean-Philippe Braud, Director of the GPHJ, gathered the most influential Maisons, artisans, and collectors under one dazzling roof. At its heart lies a celebration of savoir-faire and creative ingenuity — values that define Arslanian’s own work.

A graduate of the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) at the University of London, where he earned a degree in Law and Economics, Arslanian took an unconventional route to jewelry design. After joining the family diamond business in 2013, he co-founded Arslanian Group NV, expanding the company’s international presence before becoming its Managing Director in 2019. His leadership solidified the group’s position in the global rough diamond market, laying the foundation for his artistic evolution.

What sets Sahag Arslanian apart is a cosmopolitan sensibility shaped by years of experience across continents — from Africa to Asia — and a deep understanding of the diamond’s journey from earth to artistry. His creations, celebrated for their sculptural refinement and modern luxury, capture a spirit of contemporary elegance that resonates with a new generation of collectors.

Recognized as a respected voice in the industry, Arslanian has spoken at major international conferences and served as Vice President of both the Antwerp World Diamond Centre and the Armenian Jewellers Association. Today, his brand stands as a testament to a new era of high jewelry — one defined by vision, authenticity, and a renewed devotion to craft.
