Dedicato Design’s Diva Collection Glows at Moiré Gallery Milano

In Milan’s storied Quadrilatero district, where elegance is instinctive and design is a way of life, Moiré Gallery Milano introduces a new expression of contemporary luxury through light. The gallery’s latest exhibition, DIVA, brings together a refined collection of lamps by Dedicato Design, transforming illumination into an art form defined by precision, atmosphere, and material depth.

Set within the gallery’s intimate space on Via Borgospesso, the collection unfolds as a sequence of luminous compositions that shape their surroundings with quiet authority. Each piece is conceived as a small-scale architecture, where light is not simply emitted but carefully orchestrated—creating a dialogue between structure, proportion, and shadow.

Dedicato Design, the Milan-based studio founded by Riccardo Zegna Baruffa and Giacomo Scarcia, approaches lighting with a distinctly conceptual lens. Their work draws from a rich cultural vocabulary that bridges architecture, visual arts, and music, resulting in objects that feel both intellectual and tactile. With DIVA, the studio refines this approach into a collection that is measured, elegant, and deeply expressive.

Materiality plays a central role. Natural marbles in striking variations—deep greens, rich reds, and luminous blues—are paired with metal and iroko wood, creating a layered visual language that feels at once grounded and elevated.

The surfaces capture and reflect light with subtle intensity, enhancing the sculptural quality of each design. Every lamp is handcrafted with a meticulous, almost couture-like sensibility, reinforcing the idea of design as a tailored experience.

The collection spans multiple typologies, from table lamps in varying scales to floor, wall, and pendant pieces. Despite this diversity, a cohesive identity runs throughout. Clean lines and balanced proportions anchor each design, while the interplay of light introduces a dynamic, almost theatrical dimension. These are objects that shift with their environment, offering new perspectives as the day unfolds.

Rooted in the legacy of 20th-century Milanese design, DIVA carries forward a tradition of formal rigor and refined restraint. Yet its perspective remains firmly contemporary, embracing a softer, more atmospheric approach to space. The result is a collection that integrates effortlessly into a variety of interiors while maintaining a distinct and recognizable presence. Each piece is conceived as both functional object and collectible work. Numbered and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, the lamps occupy a space where design intersects with art, reflecting a broader movement toward collectible design as a defining element of modern luxury. In this context, exclusivity is expressed through craftsmanship, narrative, and the singularity of each piece.

At Moiré Gallery Milano, this vision finds a natural home. Under the direction of founder and curator Ouafa Lotfi Tahoun, the gallery continues to champion projects that blur disciplinary boundaries and elevate design to an immersive cultural experience. With DIVA, the gallery extends its curatorial language, presenting light not merely as a functional necessity, but as a medium capable of shaping emotion and space.
