In a masterstroke of storytelling and style, Borbonese’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection takes center stage with “Ci Vediamo da Bice”, an emotionally rich campaign that channels the charm and complexity of Milan. Set against the storied backdrop of the iconic Milanese restaurant Bice, the campaign transforms fashion into film, inviting audiences to experience a collection that feels less like a runway and more like a beautifully directed scene.
This season, Borbonese isn’t simply showcasing handbags — it’s casting characters. Each piece is part of a larger narrative told through a series of intimate, cinematic moments: an elegant couple held together by habit and secrets, a dedicated journalist returning to the same table each week, rebellious girls bred on etiquette but hungry for autonomy, and a young doorman who quietly observes it all in a crisp white suit.
These vignettes reflect the brand’s desire to tell “a true story” — one inspired by a century of heritage but designed for a modern world.
“The Spring Summer 2026 collection arrives like the premiere of a film, screened in the best cinemas,” shares Stefano Ferro, CEO of Borbonese. This vision lies at the heart of the brand’s refreshed creative approach — a union of emotion, design, and legacy, bound by the mantra: Based on a true story.
The collection debuts Borbonese Identity, a capsule that pays homage to the brand’s historic DNA. Circular silhouettes, luxurious materials, and the signature Occhio di Pernice (partridge eye) pattern evoke a tactile sense of memory while charting new creative ground. These elements make each piece feel like a modern heirloom — familiar yet fresh.
Among the highlights is Première, a bag that echoes Borbonese’s classic seal, symbolizing the premiere of a new era for the house. Equally iconic is Bice, a timeless double-handled bag that channels Milanese elegance with effortless ease.
The Borboletiña, a miniature version of the recently introduced Borboleta, adds whimsy and versatility in a spectrum of materials and colors.
The main collection continues this theme of visual poetry. The rounded Full Moon hobo bag complements the beloved Luna silhouette, while Vis à Vis features opposing screws that appear to be in conversation — a clever, almost romantic detail.
Meanwhile, the London bag infuses a cosmopolitan touch, Collier adds a jewelry-inspired flair, and updated versions of the ever-popular Sexy bag keep things flirtatiously grounded.
Under the art direction of DSIGNINCMILANO’s Domenico Iovine and Vincenzo Sabatino, with beauty by Alessia Damiata (using ClioMakeup) and hair by Claudio Belizario (using Babyliss), the campaign feels polished yet intimate — much like the city it honors.
Ultimately, Borbonese SS26 goes beyond the typical frame of a collection to evoke a mood, a memory, and a Milanese state of mind. It’s an invitation to return to where fashion meets feeling, and where heritage isn’t just worn — it’s lived.
