2012 New York Fashion Week Day 4

It was another wonderful day of shows at Lincoln Center with sweet moments and glamour! Zang Toi gave his own ‘atmosphere’ with dazzling gowns and lots of delicious pastels while Emerson gave a girly hue to her catwalk with a confetti-sprinkled finale and balloon decorations around! What was not that happy a moment is Custo Barcelona’s inability to invite the right number of people at their show. I’ve been to many shows for many seasons at Lincoln Center and I was invited four times to a Custo Barcelona show there. Twice I was not allowed to get in, despite the fact I was given a bar code many days ago!  It wasn’t only me but many more invited people waiting in line for the show who were left outside few minutes before the show started. As it seems, they are among the very few designers who invite beyond capacity ending up excluding many guests who are already with an official bar code at hand! What happens? I’m sure that the organisers have nothing to do with that! Most possibly it’s the responsibility of the designer. Hope they are more careful next time cause when you are a confirmed guest you cannot be left outside the room last minute! It leaves a bitter taste, especially to a fashion editor who is really interested in this brand…
