New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2015 Day 3

Happy Valentine’s to all of you and may love prevail – along with haute style and high fashion – in our daily lives! Well, New York Fashion Week in February has always this charming highlight and you could see that today, on and off catwalks, with boys and girls in love, receiving flowers, preparing for romantic dinners etc.! Fashion is love anyway, and love at first sight!

The day started with Jay Godfrey who created beautiful wearable eveningwear including a black jumpsuit decorated with a satin obi belt, some Barbie-girl gowns with thigh-high slits, and incredible separates with metallic shine – the ultimate trend of the season!

The next show was big and reflected Lacoste’s heritage regarding tennis. Rene Lacoste – timeless sports and fashion icon – was omnipresent in this urban cool collection by Creative Director Felipe Oliveira Baptista. We saw 30s and 70s in this collection, as well as adorable stripes and solid structures. Get the tennis player head-band because it’s gonna be the most coveted accessory of the season!

Leather and metallic shine, along with other sparkly embellishments, were prevalent at the Noon by Noor collection which is actually becoming favorite to many fashionistas and socialites such as Coco Rocha and Olivia Palermo who attended the show. I was really impressed!

Son Jung Wan was also very impactful, adding lots of fur fluffiness to her structured silhouettes, infusing them with color, and elaborating on details such as pockets, sleeves and collars.

At Herve Leger, models were almost clad in gold and molded inside their witty-pretty signature bodycon dresses. Max and Lubov Azria gave us some very theatrical pieces against a golden palatial wall! Amazing!

The surprise of the day was Idan Cohen, a very talented eveningwear designer who sent down the runway ultimate Hollywood glamour dresses, sprinkled with crystals, beads, and gems or delicate transparencies. Those gowns were really opulent and chic! Thanks to Kelly Cutrone and People’s Revolution, we had the chance to see a designer that creates red-carpet wonders!

Eveningwear was the case at Venexiana too, since Kati Stern always presents a long array of evening gowns in variations of her classic silhouettes. Valentine’s Day is definitely a glam-up occasion, and for that matter the show looked even more relevant!

Stay tuned for more NYFW news; we are still at Day 3!

Love You Fashionistas!!!
