On February 25, Milan witnessed an enchanting moment of couture artistry as Antonio Riva Milano unveiled Ninfee, a collection inspired by the luminous poetry of water lilies and the atmospheric beauty of Impressionist gardens. Presented at the Illulian boutique on Via Manzoni 41, the unveiling immersed guests in a dialogue between fashion, art, and textile craftsmanship, creating an evening defined by refined elegance and creative vision.
Conceived as a tribute to the delicate world of water gardens and shifting reflections, the Ninfee collection translated painterly inspiration into fabric and form.
The garments reflected the fleeting interplay of light and movement found in nature, capturing the softness of rippling water through layered materials and fluid silhouettes.
Throughout the collection, textiles were treated as living surfaces. Transparent layers and weightless veils created the sensation of depth, while liquid organza, satin, and mikado introduced structure and radiance. Each gown appeared to move with subtle rhythm, echoing the gentle undulation of water and the quiet elegance of floating blossoms.
Color shaped the emotional landscape of the collection. The palette unfolded like a garden at dusk, blending shades of violet and wisteria with vibrant greens and intense blues.
These tones gradually deepened into rich accents of black cherry pink and marron glacé, forming a chromatic harmony that shifted with the light and enhanced the visual depth of the garments.
Artistic detailing further enriched the collection’s tactile dimension. Fine embroidery, delicate prints, and textured embellishments added layers of movement and visual vibration across the fabrics. The silhouettes, softly sculpted yet fluid, enveloped the body in a graceful balance between architectural structure and effortless drape.
The setting for the presentation underscored the collection’s emphasis on craftsmanship. Illulian, a renowned Milanese institution celebrated for its high-end rugs and innovative textile surfaces, provided an evocative backdrop that highlighted a shared language of material research and artisanal excellence.
The event also marked the beginning of a creative collaboration between Antonio Riva Milano and Illulian, with plans for a special project expected to unfold in the coming months.
