Drawing from the language of theater, the collection transforms the stage costume into contemporary dress, exploring how garments can move between performance and everyday life.
At the heart of Poltronissima lies a theatrical archive—not treated as nostalgia, but as a structural system of ideas. Historical stage costumes, originally created to embody characters and narratives, are reinterpreted through the brand’s method of upcycling. Materials are cut, repositioned, and recomposed with deliberate precision, allowing garments to evolve from performative objects into living pieces of fashion. This process gives the collection a sense of continuity, where past lives of fabrics remain visible in their renewed form.
The title itself evokes the theater audience. The “poltronissima,” the coveted front-row seat, suggests a vantage point from which to observe the spectacle.
