In the elegant heart of Milan’s Quadrilatero, Moiré Gallery unveils “The Devil Wears Olivia,” a striking debut by Milanese designer and artist Olivia Ghezzi Perego. Opening on November 20, 2025, the exhibition transforms the gallery into an experience where painting and couture merge—bold color meeting the finesse of craftsmanship, and irony dancing with beauty.

Stepping into Moiré Gallery’s refined space on Via Borgospesso 18 feels like entering a fashion dream reframed as art. Inspired by the film The Devil Wears Prada, the show reinvents the narrative through a lens of creativity and wit. Pop-inspired portraits of fashion’s most iconic figures line the walls—rendered in vivid color yet without faces. This absence, a hallmark of Ghezzi Perego’s work, invites the viewer to complete the image, to project emotion and identity into each piece. “I want people to guess who they’re seeing and shape the expression themselves,” she explains. “It often becomes a reflection of their own mood.”

At the center of the exhibition, a commanding portrait of Miranda Priestly presides over the scene, as though judging the art, the dresses, and even the guests. The piece encapsulates the show’s essence—an interplay of humor, admiration, and critique. According to Ouafa Lotfi Tahoun, founder and curator of Moiré Gallery, the layout was conceived as “a playful and ironic encounter between fashion and art, where the masters of design appear to watch a young creative carve her path in this fascinating, intricate world.”

Born in Milan in 1983, Ghezzi Perego studied at the European Institute of Design before joining Moschino and Alberta Ferretti, experiences that shaped her refined aesthetic and technical skill. In 2008, she launched her couture house, Maison Olivia, celebrated for its custom gowns and exquisite fabrics. After years in fashion and television styling, she returned to painting in 2023, channeling her love of form and texture into a new medium. Her current body of work—vibrant, faceless portraits of cultural icons—translates the emotion of couture into paint, blending elegance with provocation.

The exhibition’s opening night will also offer an experience for the senses. Guests will enjoy wines from La-Vis, a Trentino winery known for its artistry and heritage. The showcased “Ritratti” collection features labels designed by artist Margherita Paoletti, each depicting a female figure intertwined with natural motifs. Together, the wines and artworks form a dialogue between creativity, nature, and craftsmanship—an echo of Ghezzi Perego’s own artistic philosophy.

Moiré Gallery, a concept gallery at the crossroads of art, design, and fashion, provides the perfect backdrop for this union. Curated by Ouafa Lotfi Tahoun, the space embodies Milan’s contemporary spirit—sophisticated, international, and deeply attuned to beauty. It is both a gallery and an atelier of ideas, where each exhibition becomes a conversation among creators, collectors, and dreamers.

Running through December 2025, “The Devil Wears Olivia” celebrates the artist’s unique vision—one that blurs boundaries and redefines luxury as a form of expression. In Olivia Ghezzi Perego’s world, garments become art, and art becomes couture—a seamless dialogue of imagination, humor, and Milanese allure.
