Resort 2015 Favorite Looks!

Those cloths are out in the market since November but they can hardly be worn right now on a multiplicity of fashion cities across the world due to current low temperatures. Yet stocking on these fabulous mid-season offerings looks like the appetizer for Spring/Summer. It lifts your mood up and even tempts you to wear some light-weight fabrics underneath your heavy wool coat or cape. These styles are the forerunners of what to wear on warmer days. I picked for you styles that are representative of the upcoming trends as well as those I could easily adopt not only as extensions of my personal style but also as efforts to reinvent myself and have fun with fashion. Have a look at them and send me your own faves!

DONNA KARAN – The unstructured neutrals. It’s somewhere between a luscious gown and a comfy bath robe, made of flowing nude fabric and loosely secured with a satin ribbon. Looks like a gift!

PRABAL GURUNG – Functional contrasts. It seems to be the most convenient, easy-to-wear, stylish shirt-dress ever. This sophisticated non-color-blocking piece will become a classic staple in your wardrobe!

MICHAEL KORS – Romanticism is still alive. Pink is sweet, innocent and comforting. It brings us memories of childhood, rural life, and American cinematography. But the designer makes a serious twist calling it eclectic ‘tomboy romance.’

ADAM LIPPES – Timeless cosmopolitan chambray. These luxurious silk-infused fabrics in different shades of blue and traditional Korean-inspired styles make the perfect translation to effortless look that spans the world and embraces cultural elements. Roomy enough to enhance movement in an unexpectedly polished way, the whole look oozes happiness!

KAELEN – The attention-grabbing LBD. I’m sure that you all have at least one little black dress in your closet, but what about something with statement-making design and figure-flattering form? Accentuating the waist and volumizing hips, as well as keeping the neckline minimalist chic, the designer managed to create a high-end basic that could be easily dressed up into a cocktail dress and dressed down into a day business look!

MISSONI – Pre-summer shine and boldness. It’s quite fresh and cool to go for colorful prints – mostly florals – on a dark backdrop and glamorize this hipster sports-inspired look with subtly golden accessories such as these amazing rubber-soled flat sandals worn with matching socks. Just love it!

VERSACE – Reinvented 60’s-inspired Riviera look. That’s the girl travelling to Cannes, Monaco or Portofino right now. She embraces happy colors, luxurious details but also high-tech, futuristic vibes. I’m heavily drawn to these mesmerizing black sandals adorned with lilac zipper trim, the deflated geometric crossbody purse, the mirrored sunnies and the Medusas!

RALPH LAUREN – The youthful evening look. If it was a gown, I would like it to be like this one. Flirty, flowing and frilly at the bottom spiced up with flattering draping at the hips, a thigh-high slit and golden accessories, this is the ultimate outfit for women who mix up timeless American sportswear elements with Hollywood glamour. Luxe T-shirt blended up with fairytale full-skirt styles is meant to be the go-to look for Pre-Spring!

JASON WU – The structured vest-dress. A V-neck long vest detailed with strategically placed buttons, pocket flaps and fur paneling in a strict linear way, is the most coveted piece right now. In neutral shade and very sophisticated minimalist design, we saw it on stylist Anya Ziourova and would love to see it on other fashionistas such as Olivia Palermo and Lauren Santo Domingo!

Stay tuned for more Fashionality and Love!!!
