Rebecca Taylor: Gone with the Wind

rebecca_taylor1Subtle earthy nuances, transparencies, light fabrics, ethereal forms and casual spirit were the characteristics that created the atmosphere at the Rebecca Taylor Spring/Summer 2011 show during MB Fashion Week in NY. Looks suitable for a morning stroll in the islands or the forests, created with care, can be called comfort looks, since women with extra pounds, as well as those who hate fitted cloths, can be happy after all. Though simple, there was high craftsmanship behind them, in any kind of detail, such as frills, sleeves, neck-and-hemlines. Floral and crazy animal prints played an important role, contributing into this innocent, gentle style that Rebecca advertises a lot as her trademark. Personally, I wasn’t amazed by this collection. I just appreciated her consistency in high-quality fabrics and tailoring. Regardless this comment, this collection will sell a lot because it contains excellent basic wardrobe stuff.
