Pamella Roland FW18: Royal Glamour!

Quite often we come to agree that “more is more”! For FW18 Pamella Roland is inspired by the royal jewels, history and architecture of Prague.

Through embroidery, she incorporated ornate metallic threadwork, sequins, crystal appliqués, pearls, and a variety of feathers. Baroque motifs are translated into luxe fil coupes and jacquards to represent the royal Prague interiors in fabrication.

Jewel tones in ruby, amethyst, sapphire, and emerald are the focus of this season’s color palette. She mixed in metallic gold and gunmetal elements to create an authentic, crown jewel resemblance.  To her signature sleek looks in extravagant style, she added tulle and creatively manipulated fabric to create dramatic, feminine silhouette.

Vanessa Williams, Nastia Liukin, Nigel Barker, J. Alexander, Kate Connick, Bea Miller, Jessica Sula were sitting front row at  Pier 59 Studios, Chelsea Piers.

Pamella DeVos, President and Designer of PAMELLA ROLAND, channels her artistic appreciation and creativity into all of her collections, finding inspiration throughout her life and the world at large. She designs for a confident woman with exceptional taste – one who demands a versatile wardrobe in which she feels polished and impeccable without forsaking her sensuality and femininity. She strives to create clothes that allow women to comfortably exude their strength and beauty, while projecting innate elegance.
The brand debuted its Fall 2002 collection to a warm reception from critics and buyers alike. That positive response has grown significantly to the present, making it a label of choice among retailers and A-list celebrities. The collection also received the prestigious 2003 Gold Coast Award in just its second year of operation. In 2010 Pamella was inducted into the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA).
