At the intersection of craftsmanship, culture, and contemporary fashion, nine:in:the:morning has been selected to design the official uniforms for the Venice Pavilion at the 2025 Architecture Biennale, taking place in Venice through November 23rd. This collaboration not only marks a significant presence for the Italian brand on a global stage, but also exemplifies the values of quiet luxury and sartorial storytelling.
The brand—founded by brothers Umberto and Alessandro Vedramin—is known for its refined, minimalist tailoring and a deep commitment to authenticity. For the Biennale, nine:in:the:morning has created a capsule of elegant black uniforms crafted from lightweight summer wool cordellino. These uniforms feature clean lines, understated silhouettes, and a subtle custom embroidery that reads “nine:in:the:morning for Venezia”—a small yet meaningful touch that honors the spirit of the location and the people representing it.
Umberto Vedramin explains, “Dressing the Venice Pavilion is more than a style decision—it’s a statement of connection. We wanted the uniforms to embody both charisma and humility, reflecting the values of presence and hospitality in such an international context.”
The uniforms are more than just garments—they’re part of a broader narrative. The project includes a series of intimate video interviews with the young professionals working at the Pavilion, giving voice to their personal experiences and reflections on creativity, identity, and their emotional relationship with Venice. These videos are styled with a quiet luxury aesthetic, featuring natural light, soft tones, and tactile close-ups that highlight the fine textures of the fabric.
The interviews unfold across four key themes: the individual, creativity, tailoring, and Venice itself. The result is a poignant visual and emotional chronicle that bridges fashion and architecture, style and substance. Through this initiative, nine:in:the:morning dresses the Pavilion team as well as narrates a story of contemporary Italian elegance grounded in place, purpose, and passion.
This partnership underlines the brand’s dedication to meaningful fashion that communicates more than just aesthetics—it’s about memory, dialogue, and the enduring relevance of artisanal values.
