This collection progresses from Simone Weil’s freedom of the mind to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Stride Toward Freedom, but it began with a feeling, a feeling of being inward bound. It became clear to me that my inner experience was a direct path to manifesting the ideas of the Fall/Winter collection. In the throes of one of our darkest periods in recent history, this season was developed in a stream of consciousness that moves and blends from piece to piece, but when separated from the rack can stand alone all on its own.

For our fifth season, we debut inward bound in a short film that’s meant to evoke rather than record. A recollection of the now—lonesome, hopeful, romantic, empowered and rejuvenated. A paradox of personas that are both singular and shared, timely and timeless and and always in dialogue with our inner psyche. Rather than escape, experience. It’s about turning the ups and downs of the emotional experience and symbols of suffering into something beautiful, lest hopeful.
Leading this new narrative are subtle yet powerful re-imaginations: the cropped double breasted dinner jacket is a new silhouette to our suiting category, the signature logo sweats and T-shirts are reworked in Italian fleece and take on new exaggerated proportions, oversized and tailored at the same time. Knitwear displays the arc from elaborate pieces to soft tender comfort.
