New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2013 Day 5

The MB Fashion Week gave me the chance to see more designers than ever, be familiar with their work and feel the NYC vibe. Mathieu Mirano was another amazing designer that presented his collection at the Box of Lincoln Center. The combination of fabrics, sequines, transparencies, leathers and furs in this collection displayed a rich source of genuine talent. The pieces were among my NYFW favorites and I will be talking about them for many months. Those super sexy half-fury and half-transparent parts, in skirts and coats are unforgettable. This is Haute Couture! Then I met an adorable new designer, Litke, who had a little presentation of her super-interesting start-up collection with pieces of incredible embroidery and patch-work and forms inspired by medieval scenes. Bright and beautiful, the Reem Acra collection gave us great pleasure. There was an explosion of red and black taking place, with super feminine and classic red-carpet silhouettes coming down the runway. Transparencies and lace, as well as flower motifs played a major role in this ultra glam show!
