Karl Lagerfeld Shoots the French Team

Nike just presented to the world the new uniform for the French Football Federation, which looks pretty cool! The whole project started in Paris this January and was accompanied by an inspirational campaign titled “Vive Le Football Libre.” The new impressive design of the team’s official uniform embodies the French team’s spirit, offering high quality, innovation and elegance. I usually complain for most football uniforms, and it seems that this one breaks the rule. The t-shirt is heavily related to the “marinière,” part of 19th century French history and symbol of the French style. “Marinière” appeared for the first time as the French Navy uniform and became part of simple people’s wardrobe at the beginning of the 20th century. It rapidly turned to be a symbol of the French culture adopted by free-spirited people in France and abroad. The new t-shirt is very comfortable for the athletes, as it features the Nike Dri-FIT technology in combination with ergonomic design and perfect cotton texture. Nike’s new approach is called “Considered Design” and is applied by the brand in many new items, made of sustainable, eco materials. The FFF uniform is made of polyester micro fibers derived by plastic bottles’ recycling (96%) combined with organic cotton (4%). The uniform’s presentation and photo shooting is Karl Lagerfeld’s work. A fashion design and photography legend – multitasking and unstoppable – adds his magic to the French Football Federation’s new era focusing his camera on one of the team’s new stars, Alou Diarra.
