Fall 2010’s Bolds and Neutrals

nails_fallten1One of the hottest nail lacquer trends is that of darker shades such as deep blue and brown or even black. Nevertheless dark this fall could also mean burgundy and maroon in metallic versions. Those ones are suitable to almost every skin tone. Shine, glittery or metallic, is beyond any question, the predominant feature this season. Elements of precious metals and stones grab attention bringing multi-hued luminosity to the forefront. Bold gem shades support the smooth transition from summery neon colors to rich, winter jewel tones. Equally sparkly, the deep purple nail polish and the “killer red” one, can prove that fashion is made for the daring women. Trendiest of all and exclusive, are the nail polish shades called “Strong” and “Steel” included into the SoHo-centric, limited-edition makeup collection – that one sold only in the Chanel’s Spring Street store in SoHo which reopened during the MB Fashion Week in NY. At the other side of the bench, simpler, earthlier women enjoy new neutral hues such as the neutral taupe Lady Gaga chose for her look at the VMAs, the Khakis of the Chanel Collection and the dusty grey Jessica Alba adores. New shades to look for, are those ones from the current YSL, Chanel, MAC, Essie, Dior and OPI collections.
