In an industry built on constant reinvention, CIVIDINI approached the Fall/Winter 2026–2027 season with a different perspective—one centered on endurance, craftsmanship, and the quiet strength of timeless design. Presented during Milan Fashion Week, the collection explored what the house calls the “philosophy of long-lasting fashion,” a concept that challenges the notion of clothing as fleeting and instead proposes garments designed to remain relevant for years.
The idea begins with a simple question: how can fashion, by nature ephemeral, achieve permanence? CIVIDINI answered through pieces grounded in exceptional materials, rigorous craftsmanship, and an aesthetic stripped of unnecessary references to any single era. When quality and restraint guide the design process, garments develop a lasting presence that transcends seasonal cycles.
This philosophy has defined the Italian house since its founding in Bergamo in 1988. Known for refined knitwear and meticulous construction, CIVIDINI continues to cultivate a balance between understated elegance and technical mastery. For Fall/Winter 2026–2027, that balance unfolded through silhouettes that felt composed, thoughtful, and enduring.
Outerwear established the collection’s disciplined mood. A raw-cut navy pea coat crafted in marine-style wool cloth conveyed classic authority, enhanced by slanted flap pockets and a precise silhouette.
Tailoring continued with a double-breasted coat featuring chevron-patterned patch pockets in froissé wool and linen, while a lightly padded duffle coat in the house’s signature polyester, cotton, and steel satin introduced texture and depth, finished with horn frog fastenings and fisherman-stitch details.
Knitwear, long a defining element of the brand’s identity, revealed a rich exploration of structure and surface. High-collar sweaters carried hand-painted motifs that transformed familiar silhouettes into subtle works of wearable art.
High-gauge wool designs with vertical wave ribbing created movement through texture, while tubular weave constructions introduced delicate mesh-like effects. Cashmere scarves and sweaters adorned with painterly motifs highlighted the artisanal dimension of the collection.
Texture and craftsmanship continued through inventive techniques. A multi-colored cardigan crafted from leftover yarns and finished with fringed edges celebrated handwork and resourcefulness, while a coordinating tricot skirt echoed the same expressive material mix. These pieces embodied a thoughtful approach to materials, where creativity and sustainability intersect.
The silhouettes remained fluid and quietly architectural. Wide trousers with deep double pleats in CIVIDINI’s signature satin blend balanced volume with elegance.
A Milano stitch dress with an irregular tile-like effect introduced visual intrigue through subtle surface design. Elsewhere, an ankle-length stretch wool crepe skirt featured a ruffle that flowed from hip to hem, creating gentle movement without disrupting the collection’s composed aesthetic.
The material palette reinforced the house’s philosophy of longevity. Two-ply cashmere, merino wool, wool-silk blends, alpaca bouclé, and super Geelong wool formed the foundation of the collection, while calendered alpaca fabrics and stretch wool crepe added structure and refinement. Technical materials such as polyester taffeta were used with precision, offering contrast while preserving the collection’s tactile richness.
Color unfolded in a calm and sophisticated spectrum. Navy blue, snow white, cacha, chocolate, pitch black, optical white, and butter tones created a palette designed to endure beyond seasonal trends. The restrained hues enhanced the collection’s sense of permanence, allowing craftsmanship and silhouette to take center stage.
Throughout the presentation, CIVIDINI’s approach to design revealed what the house describes as “fashion… non-fashion”—a vision where garments exist outside the pressure of rapid trend cycles. Each piece expressed a harmony between aesthetics, quality, and fit, creating clothing that feels quietly distinctive.
