Cinq à Sept Spring/Summer 2022: Fashion is Self-Expression

Cinq à Sept Spring/Summer 2022 celebrates the power of self-expression through fashion. Inspired by best friends Angela Chase and Rayanne Graff of the iconic 90s show My So-Called Life, the collection plays with layering, prints, color, and texture, all interpreted through Cinq à Sept’s signature lens of optimism and confidence. In referencing a pre-Zoom, pre-social media fashion moment, the collection looks forward to a future in which we can step away from our screens, re-engage face-to-face, and dress-up again, in clothes that are multidimensional, personal, and comfortable.

The dress plays a key role in the collection. From the Lace Adita Dress, a mini that layers black lace over a lemon meringue-colored base layer to a one-shouldered evening gown in brilliant yellow silk, the dress represents ease and femininity. Also important are suiting separates, notably the cotton plaid ruffled shorts and quilted wrap jacket.

As always, the color palette is rich and varied, encompassing neutrals like alabaster and bronze, pastels like pink quartz and pale iris, and brights like sunset and neon coral. Stylized floral prints and soft, tonal plaids add surface interest and reference the 90s in a subtle, modern way.

Both polished and relaxed, Spring/Summer 2022 represents the way women want to experience fashion now—as an articulation of themselves. We are ready for that 90s comeback!
