Burnett New York Spring 2022: Dress Up Sustainably

The Burnett New York Spring 2022 collection focuses on special occasion dressing and desk-to-dinner styles that highlight fashion as art. The collection features a range of vibrant pastels crafted in airy easy silhouettes, with a pop of watercolor floral prints done in linen and viscose. Each piece celebrates the craft and skill of artisans globally, from fabrics designed out of Italy to hand-embroidered details from India to couture tailoring by local seamstresses in the New York City Garment District. The collection pieces speak volumes about the efforts of the global fashion industry working hand in hand to create special fashion garments.

Global efforts are celebrated this season through Burnett’s bold support of an entirely un-manufactured clothing line presented by F4D called Citizen-T. The one-of-a-kind hand-painted jackets and recycled tee’s exemplify Fashion 4 Development’s initiatives in fashion, based on the UN’s urgent commentary labeled Code Red and the immensely dangerous conditions around Climate Change.

Burnett along with F4D is bringing the challenge of 99% sustainability to the runway challenging all fashion lines to start changing and stop greenwashing immediately while leading by example initiating the climate justice initiatives outlined by the UN and F4D. We love such initiatives, congratulations are in order for Founder, CEO, and Creative Director, Emily, and her team!
