New York Fashion Week FW21 – Willy Chavarria Makes Extreme and Oversize Look Like a Classic
Catwalk — By Elena Sendona on February 18, 2021 at 4:24 pmRounded, squarish, oversize, unconventional, unexpected, and avant-garde are all attributes of the fascinating FW21 silhouettes we saw at the NYFW by none other than Willy Chavarria. Inspired probably by utilitarian uniforms and sportswear, these casual wardrobe separates and outerwear pieces for men but not only, are meant to create illusions of different body types, further reinforcing the idea of inclusivity by disguising and accentuating the exciting ones. Neutrals and bright blues are part of the color palette. Although off-duty these clothes are both timeless and fashionable; they cannot be categorized or assigned labels. A T-shirt comes in collaboration Mexican artist Carlos Graciano, and a few other bold color accents are discreetly spicing up the collection.
