Rock These Western Style Boots

I have a shopping obsession to share with you and this comes down to the ‘Sierra’ western-style boots hand-made in Mexico by 134-year-old bootmaker Lucchese. The pair features intricate laser-cut and stitched spiral motifs on cowhide and it is offered in designer color ‘Espresso’. They are definitely among the boots I would love to rock during the upcoming New York Fashion Week to go against the current of fashionistas that will be following the ‘hiking’ or the ‘utility boots’ fashion memo.

The brand has its roots in Sicily, Italy. Brothers Salvatore and Joseph Lucchese emigrated to the US in 1882 and a year later they moved to San Antonio, Texas to set up a bootmaking shop at Fort Sam Houston, a United States Cavalry School in San Antonio. Till today the brand’s story is part of American history with Presidents and entertainment legends adopting the heritage looks. Recently, they even had a collaboration with the avant-garde French design collective Vetements for the Couture Fashion Week SS17 show. One of the actual boots sells at MyTheresa for around $3,400, yet I would rather go for the originals that come at a way more reasonable price point and to me, with in a way more elaborate and unique range of styles. Check the brand’s Western-style boots here and let me know which one you are tempted to wear with a rich brocade coat and jeans!

Happy Shopping! xx
