Irina Vitjaz stunned a turn-away crowd at The Gallery on the WME IMG official platform. This standing room only audience, made up of photographers, international press, domestic editors, models, VIP’s and the most dedicated of fashion fans were treated to a collection of the finest luxury dresses they had ever seen. Every eye was glued to the runway, with hundreds of cell phones raised in the air trying to capture memories of Irina’s unique designs. The designs flowed remarkably well with each other, featuring sheer see through designs and long flowing skirts that commanded attention. After all of the models had done their walks, showing off the masterclass designs they were adorned in, Irina Vitjaz herself walked through the curtain to a monstrous standing ovation and the sounds of thousands of pictures being taken in commemoration of a successful North American debut. Redeemer Resk’Que, who served as the Fashion Director and Producer for the show, said: “I could not be more thrilled with how Irina brought her best to New York. This is what true fashion is, this is how you make a debut. Those in attendance saw something special today.” Irina Vitjaz herself added: “I want to thank all those who worked on the event and all those who attended. You have made this debut everything I could have hoped for. I poured my heart and soul into these designs, and to see such a response is overwhelming.”

Andy Hilfiger presented The ARTISTIX Equality collection designed by Greg Polisseni at The Dock, Skylight at Moynihan Station during New York Fashion Week. ARTISTIX presented 29 original looks, each designed by Polisseni’s based on his two paintings titled, Equality. “The collection is titled Equality based off of my two paintings,” said Polisseni of his S/S 2017 women’s line. “I spent 48 hours creating the paintings, using both my right and left hand. Each stroke of paint that I made with my right hand, I had to then replicate with my left hand, thus the title of Equality.” The NYFW on-site show drew a packed house. While the clothing spoke for itself, the intense celebrity presence added to the brand’s growing popularity. From Tommy Hilfiger to Karrueche, the front row was jammed with familiar faces, bringing a mass amount of press and social media hits. Some of the celebrities in attendance included, Madison Beer and The Janes, Dee Ocleppo, Miss Jay Alexander, Olympian Medalists Nia Ali and Brianna Rollins, WNBA legend Swin Cash, Denis Dunaway of Alice Cooper and Frank Ferrer of Guns and Roses. “We are extremely pleased with the outcome of our show,” said Andy Hilfiger. “Our goal was to create a wearable collection of pieces that merge art and rock ’n’ roll.  We did just that! The Equality collection in NYC Street Chic.” While the general feel of the collection is New York City streetwear chic, the line also featured bikinis, bodysuits, and rompers. The collection is set to hit stores nationwide in spring of 2017.

New York based emerging designer Rinat Brodach presented her Spring/Summer 2017 collection at SoHo’s AFA Gallery. Guests arrived just as models had begun taking their positions on top of white distressed luggage carriers perfectly aligned in succession, hair slicked back in duct-taped buns with grey and white dreadlocks. Rinat Brodach has recently been on the fashion radar with her previous FW’16 collection, though the revelation of Spring/Summer 2017 truly displayed the power behind this brand label and the core essence of modern avant-garde fashion. The collection featured exclusive in-house print patterns which Brodach collaborates exclusively on with Darrin George in addition to beautifully draped silks, jersey, and textured elements. Rinat Brodach gracefully made her way throughout the crowd introducing herself to notable editors, stylists, tastemakers, and fashion influencers – making them feel right at home. Brodach’s down to earth personality and true passion for creating innovative high-fashion clothing for every woman was soaked in the energy of the room.
