New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2014 Day 5

News, Catwalk — By on February 11, 2014 at 6:09 am

My fifth day at the NY MB Fashion Week started with the very feminine and sophisticated Noor by Noon show, featuring interesting colors and textures! I saw intricate beading, avant-garde color-blocking, eye-catching prints, studded pieces, transparencies and in general a very elegant interplay of the glam romance with the futuristic geometrical approach! There was a very successful balance between simplicity and opulence. Simply fab!

From there, I rushed to see the Alon Livne presentation, a collection inspired by Moroccan royalty, glittering and dazzling in all kinds of ways! Paris Hilton was there to endorse the designer, along with other celebs who appreciate his avant-garde grandiose creations! I was wowed by the intricate crystal-studded headpieces and gowns, the oriental spirit, and the craftsmanship  – especially the embroidery!

Our final surprise of the day was the spiritual setting at the Ricardo Seco show taking place at the David Oresanz Foundation. Ricardo this time got inspiration from the Kennedys, especially Jackie – to produce a menswear line filled with pastels, adorable textures and softer details! It still looked masculine, though, and more modern that ever! I loved the pink and blue lights in this almost sacred place, which gave me the cross-section between a church and a disco! Among my picks were the Jackie-O print t-shirt and the ultra soft grey coat with the oversized buttons! Those boys were adorable!

After so much spirituality I decided to go for some drinks at Lillie’s Victorian Bar in Flatiron to blend it up a bit! And for food, there was no better choice that Mediteranean delicacies at ABC Kitchen! What a magical ambiance! That was the amazing finale of another great day! Stay tuned for more NY MB Fashion Week coverage coming soon!
